Dr. Boisen joined Montrose Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in March of 2008. She grew up in Boise, Idaho and is happy to be in the sunny mountains of Southwest Colorado. Dr. Boisen received her Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors from Stanford University and went on to the University of Washington in Seattle for dental school. After receiving her DDS, Dr. Boisen continued her training in Richmond, Virginia where she completed a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University. There she received special training in anesthesia and craniofacial care. She has been involved in cleft lip and palate care overseas and in the United States. Dr. Boisen is a member of the Western Slope Cleft and Craniofacial team in Grand Junction.
Dr. Boisen received diplomat status from the Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2009 and is trained in full scope oral maxillofacial surgery procedures. She is a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, fellow of the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, member of the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Colorado Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Academy of Osseointegration, and the American Society of Dental Anesthesiology. She is a staff surgeon at Montrose Memorial Hospital and Black Canyon Surgical Center in Montrose and is a consulting surgeon at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction.
Dr. Boisen, husband Matt, daughters Luella, Billie-Dorado, and Vita love to play in the outdoors and live in Montrose with their gaggle of pets. They spend much of their free time in Crested Butte skiing, biking, hiking, and getting outside!
